Our History

The CCIC/VOFM started off with a fellowship of 3 people in August 1982 at Ibidun Street. It later moved to the back house of No. 8 Adisa Bashua Str, off Adelabu Str, Surulere with more people in attendance.

The church was established on Christmas day in the year 1983, and had its humble beginning in Yewande Memorial School on James Robertson Street, Surulere, from there to the renowned Super Cinema Hall also in Surulere and then to a larger worship centre in Ijora.

Most of the properties where the worship centres of the church are domiciled are owned by the church, hence they represent a very strong asset base for the church to continue to do the work of spreading the Gospel, touching and changing the lives and destinies of all that give their lives to Christ at the church.

From this humble beginning, now Christ Chapel under the leadership of our dynamic and charismatic Senior Pastors has grown to and now operates from over 40 missions centres across the country and internationally.
